On Sunday, August 19th, the 35th annual America’s Finest City Half Marathon and 5K will take place overlooking San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Beginning at the Cabrillo National Monument, the half marathon trek follows along San Diego Bay, through downtown San Diego and finishes in Balboa Park. The 5K takes place entirely within a marked track at Balboa Park.
This event will begin at 7:00 A.M. and eight thousand runners will be allowed into the half marathon. The 5K has a maximum of 1,700 participants. Three hours are allowed for the half marathon and the 5K completion time is one hour.
